• Providing Meaningful Work Experience

    ALPS | Basic

We are pleased to welcome Ensign College students!

Current Ensign College students are now able to participate in the applied learning projects (ALPS) program.

Remote Enabled Internship

The Research and Business Development Center (RBDC) is a Rexburg, Idaho based non-profit with a mission to provide undergraduate students with meaningful work experience. One of the programs available from the RBDC is the applied learning projects (ALPS) program. All ALPS projects are online/remote capable. We have had online interns for years as we have served BYU-Idaho online students and BYU-Pathway Worldwide students.

ALPS | Baic is a program for students to start to build their professional experience by contributing 8 to 10 hours per week for 13 weeks on a project for a client. RBDC clients range from small businesses to large multinational corporations. Ensign students must enroll in either CAR 299 or a major-specific internship course at Ensign College to participate.

Project Types

ALPS | Basic projects are very broad in type. The sponsoring client is tasked with guiding the student team. The RBDC also provides weekly trainings and team support from an expereinced student mentor. Typical projects include but are not limited to:

  • Competitive Analysis
  • Social Media Analysis
  • Social Media Campaigns
  • New Product Launch
  • General Marketing
  • Best Practices Study

Perhaps, you are looking for a more rigorous project. ALPS | Advanced may be for you. Adavanced projects require 15 – 30 hours per week. Click here to learn more about ALPS | Advanced.
