Idaho Ag Pulse

Keeping a “pulse” on the current economic condition of Idaho agriculture.

What is the Idaho Ag Pulse Project?

The Research and Business Development Center’s Idaho Ag Pulse project, in conjunction with Agribusiness Management students at Brigham Young University-Idaho, is developing an index that measures the economic health of Idaho agriculture.

The Idaho Ag Pulse index will serve as a resource for agricultural producers, policymakers, and stakeholders throughout the state.

The index will focus on the state’s top five commodities: dairy, cow-calf operations, potatoes, hay, and small grain. Producers of these commodities, who choose to participate, will be surveyed on a quarterly basis regarding current economic conditions and future expectations.
